Calendar registration icon Class Registration: ACLS Provider Course

Description: PME, Inc. prides itself in keeping all of our courses stress-free. The ACLS Provider covers the latest 2000 ECC guidelines. Students who have never taken this course, or have not taken ACLS in several years are encouraged to sign up very early so that they have plenty of time to read and understand the material in the textbook prior to the course date. It is impossible to cover the entire textbook in a sixteen hour course. The entire morning of day one consists of lectures and presentations. Some (not all) topics covered in lecture are: Respiratory Arrest With a Pulse, Simple and Refractory V-Fib and Pulseless VT. The afternoon of day one allows the student to practice in group rotations. Some of these rotations are: CPR-D, I.V. techniques and intubation procedures. This gives the student time to practice and allows stress-free critique from the instructor. Once rotations are completed, a question and answer session and an overview of day one is held to clarify any student concerns before adjourning for the day. On day two, the rest of the lectures will be completed. These lectures (not all) cover: M.I., Stroke and Asystole. When the lectures are finished, the student will complete another round of practice rotations. When practice is completed, the practical test is given and the student finishes the day with the written test. Once the student has successfully completed the practical and written test, the student is given an ACLS course completion certificate and ACLS course completion card usually on site. Your card is then good for a period of two years from the date you took the course.
